Jo Di Mambro

Joseph Léonce Di Mambro, known as Jo Di Mambro, was a French-born spiritual leader who co-founded the controversial Order of the Solar Temple alongside Luc Jouret in 1984. His life took a tragic turn in October 1994, when he died by suicide in the Swiss village of Salvan, an event that triggered the mass death of his followers and left an indelible mark on the history of new religious movements.
