Ritabhari Chakraborty

Ritabhari Chakraborty was raised in Kolkata and began her professional journey at just 15, working in modelling and television. She attended Hariyana Vidya Mandir for her schooling and, in 2011, achieved the highest marks in India in both History and Bengali in the CBSE examinations. She went on to earn a degree in History from Jadavpur University in 2014. With appearances in many magazines and commercials, she has become a familiar face in advertising, representing over 60 brands. Alongside her mother, she operates an NGO called "Scud," which concentrates on empowering women in rural West Bengal and is presently active in Bashtala. She served as an ambassador for the Dog Owners and Lovers association (DOLA) and is recognized for her philanthropic efforts for the "Ideal school for the deaf."

Chakraborty starred as the female lead in the Bengali TV serial Ogo Bodhu Sundari, which was later adapted into Hindi as Sasural Genda Phool. Her film debut came in 2011 with Tomar Shange Praner Khela, directed by Rakesh Kumar, who also helmed Sasural Genda Phool; the movie examines the female protagonist's connections with five different men. She went on to appear in Prem Unlimited and Tobu Basanta. More recently, she acted in the TV series Chokher Tara Tui on STAR Jalsha, though she left the show citing health concerns. She portrayed Charulata in Gautam Halder's cine play "Noshtonir," based on Tagore's work. In October 2014, she appeared in Srijit Mukherji's ensemble film Chotushkone. She was also seen in the Bengali drama Bawal, directed by Biswaroop Biswas, and her most recent film appearance was in Onyo Apalaa (2015), which was officially selected for Indian Panorama. She recently featured in a music video
