Kvaska (2007)
A young inmate becomes fixated on a singer set to star in a new musical, whose director is holding auditions. He breaks out of prison and, through a chaotic and hilarious chain of events, lands the lead role himself. But just before opening night, the police track him down. The story continues with sharp dialogue, memorable songs, and a plot that twists relentlessly—mirroring the play within the film. It’s one of the most entertaining Czech films in years, blending comedy, drama, and theater magic.
