Promised Land (2004)
A former child star clings to the belief that his single film won't be his last. He cruises around in a car plastered with self-promotion and now and then lands on local news after some bizarre mishap. As the story opens, he's just torched his trailer and snarled traffic. He then sets off with a DV camera to record real life, since a friend swore he could peddle the footage to an Italian TV station. Along the way he encounters a famous singer and gets pulled into her world—and that's when things take an intriguing turn.
