New Wave (1984)
In 1983 São Paulo, female footballers finally get the green light to play legally. Eager to hit the pitch, a defiant crew of young women bands together as the Gayvotas Football Club, chasing their first official game. Yet, as their skills draw national attention, the squad's newfound fame collides head-on with the oppressive norms of a military-run society still clinging to the past.
