The Fire Rises: The Creation and Impact of The Dark Knight Trilogy (2013)
This full-length documentary explores the Batman trilogy, starting with the creative spark and vision behind the new films and building toward the climactic finale of Rises, marking the end of nearly ten years of intense creative effort. Honest, insightful, and thorough, it features revealing behind-the-scenes clips, numerous interviews, audition footage (including Christian Bale and Cillian Murphy trying on the cape and cowl), and a gripping narrative drive of its own, missing nothing.
