A sudden car wreck erupts into a blazing inferno, endangering a Maryland cop in the middle of a routine traffic stop. Meanwhile, in Ohio, police are forced to flush a gun-wielding intruder out of a closet after he barricades himself inside. And down in Texas, a routine encounter with a known fugitive takes a deadly turn when the suspect whips out a firearm, putting the officer face-to-face with a life-or-death standoff.
