Keigetsu discovers her sickness stems from a venomcraft curse, and she suspects its originator. Meanwhile, Seika's visitation gifts lead Reirin to deduce that someone is orchestrating a plot to frame the Kin clan for the harassment. Concerned for Keigetsu, Reirin confides in a flame, only for Keigetsu to manifest within it in response. Yet, when Keigetsu appears, she turns to Reirin with a plea for assistance, setting the stage for an unexpected alliance.
