Nell discovers that Addy has landed a teaching position as a Dean at Columbia University, thanks to a professor she can't stand and views as manipulative. Tensions rise at Addy's farewell party, leading to a heated argument between the two friends, as Nell struggles with the idea of parting ways. Ultimately, she realizes it’s for the best. When Nell arrives at Addy's apartment to bid her farewell, she finds her unpacking and overhears a conversation revealing that the professor is indeed cunning and self-serving, and that Addy’s job offer in New York might have been a ruse.
