Sanae attempts to master hypnosis, hoping to put Squid Girl under her spell, with the others humoring her efforts. Though Sanae's attempts fail, Squid Girl manages to pull it off—only to discover the coin she used is one of the Three Stooges' gadgets. Meanwhile, the Southern Winds owner teams up with the Stooges to build a robotic Squid Girl for a rematch. The robot proves formidable, but its mechanical flaws cost it the fight. Later, Squid Girl tries embracing villainy, yet grows worried when Chizuru remains unfazed. They spend the day shopping and dining, where Chizuru reveals she simply wants them to be friends.
