Danny finds himself alongside blackjack enthusiast Gabe Labrador, who sports a wig and is busy counting cards. Gabe insists he must secure a significant win to pay off the kidnappers holding his daughter. Meanwhile, Ed, Mike, Danny, and a Metro officer investigate the situation, uncertain of Gabe's honesty. Mary continues to support Danny by managing his father's affairs while still in a relationship with Jake. A fortunate player, who initially wants to return his winnings, keeps changing his mind, oscillating between giving it back and wanting it again.
