In Singapore, the women are greeted by RAPWI officer Phyllis Bristow, who collects their information. She suggests transferring Kate and Mrs. Van Meyer to different groups, but they decline and choose to stay where they are. Alice discovers that her father is still alive. They are moved to their new accommodations at Raffles, where the opulence of the hotel and the exquisite food leave them in awe, as it has been years since they've experienced such luxury. Marion is approached by a colonel investigating war criminals, while Kate shares Dr. Trier's notes with the medical team. A welcome party is held at Raffles, where Mrs. Van Meyer flirts with a colonel. Marion anxiously waits for news about Clifford, while Bea, overwhelmed, rushes out of the party in tears.
