Upon reaching Naples alongside Bernardi, Lorenzo struggles to persuade King Ferrante of Aragon to sever ties with the Pope. As the Magnificent seeks to gain the king’s confidence, Florence faces a dire situation under siege. The citizens, along with Clarice, grow increasingly anxious, fearing that Lorenzo has forsaken them in their time of need.
