Everest: Beyond the Limit (2006)

S3E3 Deadly Countdown

Astronaut Scott Parazynski and 66-year-old Dawes Eddy set out on a record-chasing attempt to reach the summit. A five-time Space Shuttle veteran, Scott aims to become the first person to both walk in space and stand atop the world's highest mountain. For Dawes, success would make him the oldest American ever to summit Everest. The two soon learn the mountain won't surrender its prize easily. They must navigate a deadly course of shifting ice, deep crevasses, and avalanches—and if they survive that, the Death Zone awaits, with the summit just beyond.
